AboutMe

Constantinos Sophocleous is an award-winning animator in Cyprus.

With more than a decade of expertise in animation, my experience spans the realms of Video Games and Visual Effects, including collaborations with renowned companies such as Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Framestore, Warner Media, One of Us VFX, and nDreams. Additionally, I possess four years of experience in academia and professional mentorship, during which I have worked with esteemed institutions including Kingston University, Mastered Bootcamp, and the University of Arts in London.

 

Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Westminster in 2016 and with Master of Science in Computer Animation from the University of Kent in 2017. My graduation film "Enslaved" won the International Motion Festival (IMF) and selected by several international film festivals. Also, we have won with the talented team of One Of Us the Best Visual Effects VFX award for the film Pinocchio at  David di Donatello awards (2020) in Italy and also the Best Film Award for the film Dragon Recipes directed by Maria Pavlou at AnimaFest Cyprus 2019.

My skill set is distinguished by advanced proficiency in keyframe and Motion Capture animation(Facial), and I am well-versed in industry-standard software tools such as Maya, MotionBuilder,Faceware, 3Ds Max, Xsens, Rokoko. I also have extensive experience working with game engines such as Unreal, Unity, and Ego Engine.

I am currently working at Redhill Games on high end AAA games.

**Motion Editing, Body and Facial Performance Capture/MotionBuilder** Responsible for motion editing body/facial characters in game and enhanced facial and body performance. Responsible for capturing facial animation on-set(Faceware), Analyzing, Retargeting , Cleaning Animation and Implementation. Attending mocap shoots ( helping my lead animator directing and organising the shoot) at Centroid. Full set up/process and acting with Xsens. Trained members of the team. Working with optical data and non-optical Xsens suit data. Fixing pops and glitches on characters and hand keyed hands/fingers and props. Also added timing offsets and appealed towards camera (also edit/create camera shots if needed).

Worked with an amazing team of Animators,3D Artists,Programmers, UI/UX and with the Chinese King of Pop, Leehom Wang to make the world's first Augmented Reality music video! My responsibilities for this project were to Rig and skin some of the characters and do keyframe animation using Maya and Unity.
